Turn your website into a cash register??
Friday, October 19th, 2007A call to action is a command to your customer and/or clients offering them some type of a special, or informing them of an upcoming events that will be happening and some time in the near future. Essentially it’s created to have the client give you information about themselves or to take advantage of some special what you’re running presently within your organization.
By creating an effective call to action, you can increase your sales, inbound calls, potential clients filling out a form to be part of your newsletter roster. Or maybe you just have a online e-commerce website and you trying to generate more online sales.
- “Special good while supplies last order now!!!”
- “For a limited time only!!!”
- “Receive a free gift when you sign up now!”
- “Sign up for our affiliate program, and start earning money today.”
- “When you purchase something today. You’ll be entered in a $1,000 raffle.”
- One of the ways that you can create an effective call to action is to see what your competitors are offering. You can even look in different marketplaces completely unrelated products and see what their calls actions or on their websites. What I like to do is to us on else is doing in them brainstorm upon their ideas and make him better and obviously different.
Obviously in whatever you’re selling the more urgent you make it the to better it is. The more you can do things like while supplies last. A limited time only!
Obviously quotations are good. So is using various different font types like creating bold text in the call to action.
The other thing is be as direct as you can possibly be with your clients. If the offer is not specific and unclear to the client or potential client or more likely not to make the purchase.
A lot has been done in the area of the study of colors. I personally like to create some type of text by using the program flash. I like this because it allows you to bring in different images and has the person be able to focus on whatever your call to action is. I’m not a big advocate of having everything swirling around the pages in using flash left and right. But I do like it with inside the context of your call to action. With some good images and a strong call to action will definitely increase the amount of conversions you’re getting on your website.
Whatever you decide to do is very important that you do some testing and measuring so you can find out what call to action works the best. We are actually working on a pay per click campaign for a client right now and on the landing page. We’ve created various different calls of actions. We also done is create various different landing pages, so we can monitor what the conversion rate is from people clicking to people filling out the forms. The actual sales taking place. Whatever you do test to measure every and all marketing that you’re doing.
One of the cheapest ways to go about this is to have someone do some search engine optimization to your website.
Also using various different web based programs - such as PHP programming, ans my SQL you can really find out what your conversion rate is.
