Is your website good?
Is a question I asked most people can know more about to do some business together. The first thing I say to a person do your website is good? Generally, they respond in a way something similar to it’s okay, not bad. This is the thing you have to understand about websites. Websites are very similar to fashion, what was good and cool three years ago is not good and cool now. Because you go to websites on a regular bases generally, what ends up happening is that over time. It just really starts to as time goes on a really starts to look dated.
Most of the websites that we are building nowadays has a compilation of different components. We are now not only doing Flash websites and we’re not doing only HTML websites. I personally believe that both of them have their limitations. A flair site by itself was as cool as it might look unfortunately the search engines don’t like it as a stand-alone and all by itself. The problem with doing just an HTML site is you don’t really have the movement that would create the interest for a person to focus in on that particular part of the page.
Well, we been doing a lot of lately is basically plot HTML and part Flash. What I mean by this is will make this mean potatoes of the site to be HTML. And then we’ll do is we’ll create a banner in the center of the site with a call to action and will be using flash to do that. So basically, as far as navigational purposes and for a search engine purposes this site is HTML. But we also have the ability to create a very strong call to action with words coming into the banner and showing different images fading in and out using the flash part of the banner.
Like anything else at this only takes a little bit time to actually perfect this way of building a website. I would personally like to believe that we have actually perfected it. All of our clients that are now getting websites with these two products smashed together. Absolutely love it. At the level of testing and measuring what we are doing were finding that they were creating a lot more sales than they were previously just having a HTML website.
Another thing that we’re doing it at the level of databasing on the websites is we’re creating folders. So this way, it doesn’t look like the whole website is database. When you hit into the database section the website it’s in a folder that has it appear like it’s HTML. This is also very good at the level of search engine optimization. So I would like to think that we have very much so penetrated to web programming. By marrying it with the search engine optimization part of the projects.
